Some very interesting cars have just been revealed
Dodge has built the world's fastest-accelerating production car, but that's not the only mind-blowing car that's just been revealed to the general public. Automakers BMW, Kia, Ford, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Volkswagen announced exciting cars this week. Among them we find convertibles with V8 engines, futuristic SUVs, electric cars and even an exotic model with a V12 engine and in this article the PHP Rent a Car Airport Cluj Napoca office will tell you everything you need to know about these new models.
The standard Dodge Demon is a beast of a car but now the new Demon 170 has been revealed and is one of the most powerful and fastest production cars ever built. The Dodge SRT Demon 170 is equipped with an improved supercharger and many new engine components that now develop 1025 horsepower and a torque approaching 1300 Nm. The camshaft is practically the only component of the 6.2-liter V8 that Dodge hasn't modified. The new Dodge also comes with a lighter body, a stronger driveshaft and a beefier differential to better handle all that engine power. For faster launches, the car is equipped with competition radial tires and modified rear suspension. So how fast is this car? The Dodge SRT Demon 170 managed to reach the speed from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.66 seconds, faster than a Tesla Model S Plaid or even a Rimac Nevera. It launches so brutally that it develops a force of 2G when accelerating. Unlike other super cars Dodge SRT Demon 170 costs only 90 thousand euros, so for the price of a Rimac Nevera you can buy 17 models of Demon 170.
Ferrari has just revealed this car, the Roma Spider, which is the convertible version of the standard Roma Coupe. This is the first front-engine convertible that Ferrari has built since 1969. Was it worth the wait? Well the Roma Spider looks good, especially with the open top. Ferrari says it can be folded down or raised in just 14 seconds and this can be done while driving up to 60 km/h. The Cluj airport car rental company PHP Rent a Car recommends you open this top at every possible opportunity to listen to the 3.9-liter V8 engine that develops 620 horsepower and a torque of 720 Nm, just like the Roma Coupe model. The Ferrari Roma Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and continues to accelerate up to a top speed of 320 km/h. Although the Roma Spider weighs 84kg more than the standard Roma Coupe thanks to the mechanisms for opening the roof and strengthening the chassis to compensate for the loss of rigidity with the roof cut, it is impressive that the performance is the same. Even if Ferrari has not revealed the price for the new convertible Roma Spider, we assure you that it will be higher than that of the Coupe model which starts at over 190 thousand euros.
VW has unveiled an electric car with a name that says it all, ID. 2ALL, that is, an electric car for everyone whose price starts from 25 thousand euros, 20 thousand euros less than the cheapest ID.3 that can be bought at the moment, which costs 45 thousand euro. This new ID.2 concept uses a version of the same MEB chassis as the ID.3 but features a new electric motor that develops 226 horsepower, 22 horsepower more than the top-spec ID.3 Pro version. VW says this electric car will have a range of 450 km, slightly more than the ID.3. ID concept design. 2ALL is supposed to show us what the future Volkswagen models will look like, but the PHP Rent a Car Airport Cluj Napoca agency thinks that it looks more like an older Golf or Polo model, which is not futuristic at all. Instead the interior design is up to date, the infotainment screen is massively similar to what we see in the Tesla Model 3. Given the specifications that this car presents, we find it hard to believe that VW will manage to put it on sale for just 25 thousand euros. VW has announced that it will launch an electric car even cheaper than this, which will probably be called ID.1, its launch will take place after 2025.
Returning to supercars, Lamborghini is working on the replacement of the iconic Aventator model which is codenamed LB744. This model has just been revealed along with its name, Lamborghini Revuelto. The Lamborghini Revuelto will receive a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that develops 825 horsepower. Revuelto will also be equipped with a hybrid system that is not designed to increase efficiency as in most hybrid cars but to increase performance. Thus, there will be two electric motors on the front axle and the V12 engine on the rear axle, this configuration being very similar to the one used on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale with all-wheel drive. This hybrid system of the new Lamborghini Revuelto develops more power than any other model in the history of Lamborghini. This system develops 1015 horsepower, 200 horsepower more than the Sian models or the new Countach. The LB744 gets a dual-clutch automatic gearbox instead of the old-fashioned robotic manual in the old Aventador, so it should launch from standstill even better than this. The new LB744 also has a chassis built from carbon fiber and less aluminum than the old Aventador making it lighter, stiffer and safer in a collision. We expect Lamborghini to unveil this car very soon. The price of the new Lamborghini Revuelto starts at 500,000 euros and despite the steep cost, all the copies to be produced in the next two years have been sold in advance.
Ford has launched the all-new Explorer electric SUV. The full-size Explorer gas-powered SUV is available in the US, but this Ford Explorer model is completely different. It is based on the same MEB platform for electric cars as the VW ID.4, and thus we learn that the American manufacturer Ford is collaborating with the German Volkswagen. The new electric Explorer looks squarer than the American version, especially from the side, but the front end is more attractive. Inside, it looks more interesting than the VW ID.4 with its massive 40-centimeter diagonal infotainment screen in vertical orientation. Ford didn't confirm many details about the performance of this new Explorer but mentioned that there will be single-motor or dual-electric rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions available, just like the VW ID.4. The variants with only one engine will develop 150 horsepower while the models with two electric motors will develop 300 horsepower like the VW ID.4 GTX.
BMW has just confirmed that it will launch the new 5 Series G60, G61, G68 in October this year and that it will be available to buy as an all-electric i5 car for the first time in history. This electric variant will also come in the form of the BMW i5 Touring station wagon in the spring of 2024. BMW has also confirmed that the new i5 will also receive a variant from the M division but this will only be an M light version similar to the i4 M50. BMW is also working on a real M5 variant with a petrol engine from which the PHP Rent a Car Cluj Airport Avram Iancu office expects to receive the hybrid system from the BMW XM model and thus develop 650 standard horsepower or 750 horsepower power in the more special Competition or CS variants. There is also a possibility that this new M5 will also be launched in the combi variant as the M5 Touring as BMW recently also launched a combi version for the M3 model for the first time.
The futuristic car above is called the Kia EV9, and it's the most luxurious car from the Korean manufacturer that PHP Cluj Napoca airport car rental agency has ever seen, and we think it's one of the most exciting electric cars to be launched in this year 2023. Kia EV9 is not only an electric version of Kia Sorento but it is a brand new electric SUV which is based on the same chassis as Kia EV6 but looks completely different from it. The futuristic design has done away with fake radiator grilles like the ones we see on the BMW iX and the zigzag daytime running lights look like they belong on a Polestar model. Inside, the Kia EV9 doesn't look that futuristic and looks similar to the cabin of the EV6 model, but there is a very big difference between these two cars, namely, the EV9 is an SUV with three rows of seats in a six- or seven-seater configuration. The EV6 has a maximum of five seats. The last two rows can be folded and the second row can be rotated 360 degrees to face the third row of seats. Kia will release four versions of the EV9 SUV. The Kia EV9 Standard RWD has rear-wheel drive, a 76 kWh battery and a single electric motor on the rear axle that produces 215 horsepower. The Kia EV9 Standard RWD Long Rage has only one electric motor which in this case produces only 201 horsepower, rear wheel drive and a battery with a greater capacity of 99.6 kWh that will ensure an autonomy of up to 540 km. The EV9 Standard AWD and GT-line models have two electric motors, one on each axle, which produce 379 and 576 horsepower respectively and provide all-wheel drive, the battery also being 99.6 kWh. The sale price starts from over 60 thousand euros.
